Spectators: 6652 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mazinho Prata started the match with the kick off. When Verdum SS's Adriano Freitas in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ingaseiro's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Fernão Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verdum SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernão Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovânio Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12thth minute of the game Fausto Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verdum SS's Cacá Matorin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adriano Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio Couto having to interfere. Cido Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cacá Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Veiga in the 27th minute of the match. Fausto Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st match minute, Verdum SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmar da Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute of the match Benê Domingues shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cacá Matorin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Adriano Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Cacá Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After having played for 53 minutes, Adriano Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verdum SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Freitas in the 71st minute of play forced Ingaseiro's goalkeeper Geovânio Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Cido Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ingaseiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Cido Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacá Matorin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osmar da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Fernão Meirelles struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Geovânio Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verdum SS. 83 minutes into the match, Ingaseiro's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Freitas came free, but Geovânio Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 minutes of play, Verdum SS's Adriano Freitas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovânio Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Adriano Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verdum SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
