Aloísio Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Armando Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Sergipano in the 18th minute of the match. Armando Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 23rd match minute, Placas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Secco to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Evandro Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, Reducao's Evandro Arósio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armando Mazza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís de Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nestor Fernandes's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Evandro Arósio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Davi Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Reducao's zone, Cido de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís de Castro came out of the goal and Cido de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After having played for 53 minutes, Evandro Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reducao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evandro Arósio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cido de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís de Castro having to interfere. Cido de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cido de Brito in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís de Castro saved Reducao from getting behind. In the 63rd minute Cido de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cido de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cido de Brito in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís de Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Placas's Nestor Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evandro Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Mazza having to interfere. Armando Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Arósio in the 87th minute of play. Luís de Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Fernandes went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Nestor Fernandes took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís de Castro. Luís de Castro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Arósio in the 96th minute of play forced Placas's goalkeeper Armando Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Sergipano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Armando Mazza made a huge save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
