But to his dismay, Frank Palmeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The supporters of barcelona junior booed when Anfíbios de Rondônia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute of the game, Dedê Goiano landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 79 played minutes barcelona junior got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Esteves. 82 minutes into the match, Anfíbios de Rondônia's Nuno Leite sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Tasso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nilton Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rodolfo Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aleksandar Ognjenović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the game, Aleksandar Ognjenović cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Rodolfo Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aleksandar Ognjenović might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aleksandar Ognjenović ran back to his position shaking his head. Anfíbios de Rondônia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
