The audience thought a goal was coming when Adelino Botelho got free with Adelino Brodel in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Murilo Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute, Murilo Moraes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jokkers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. The audience was convinced that Rodriguinho de Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adelino Brodel was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Adelino Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Brodel having to interfere. After the first half Jokkers FC were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Adelino Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Brodel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After 80 minutes of play, Jokkers FC's Murilo Moraes made it 2-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eurico de Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Jokkers FC booed when Balao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Queirós didn't quite understand what happened when in the 92 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 98th minute Adelino Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jokkers FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
