Tiaguinho Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Manolo França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Roberto EC booed when Tamboril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aloísio Pires stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osmar Trigo's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Tamboril's Aloísio Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Teles in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Queiroz in the 22nd minute of play forced Roberto EC's goalkeeper Manolo França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Tamboril's Tiaguinho Fernandez got a free kick in the 25th minute. Kaká Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Osmar Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Pires having to interfere. Kaká Teles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aloísio Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Manolo França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Queiroz in the 35th minute of play. Manolo França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Queiroz in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Queiroz in the 44th minute of play forced Roberto EC's goalkeeper Manolo França to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Osmar Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Osmar Trigo made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Sidney Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roberto EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tamboril the free kick. A collision led to Roberto EC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Sidney Castro hit a great ball. If Tiaguinho Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manolo França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Queiroz in the 59th minute of the match. Remo Bastos's late challenge caught a Tamboril's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remo Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Roberto EC got a freekick which was hit by Remo Bastos. Manolo França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Vale hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Tiaguinho Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamboril's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manolo França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manolo França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Queiroz in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Tamboril's Tiaguinho Queiroz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manolo França narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Roberto EC's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Faria came free, but Manolo França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manolo França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Queiroz in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Oswaldo Faria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tamboril fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Luís Fabiano Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Tiaguinho Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiaguinho Queiroz in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manolo França saved Roberto EC from getting behind. Tamboril's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
