An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Pirani in the 5th minute of play forced ASEC Mimosas B's goalkeeper Hamílton Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Gláuber Pirani recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hamílton Coutinho. Gláuber Pirani showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Anísio Ribeiro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gláuber Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Coutinho having to interfere. Hamílton Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Pirani in the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in ASEC Mimosas B's zone, Gláuber Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Coutinho came out of the goal and Gláuber Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, José Pedro Costa made a precise shot to the right of Hamílton Coutinho. ASEC Mimosas B's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, ASEC Mimosas B's Anísio Camargo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Tales França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hamílton Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo de Toledo in the 51st minute of the match. ASEC Mimosas B's Hamílton Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales França in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tales França managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rio Branco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tales França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Coutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tales França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hamílton Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rio Branco FC booed when ASEC Mimosas B was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes Rio Branco FC got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Costa. Anísio Camargo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nando Ortiz came out and tried to block the shot, but Anísio Camargo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 65th minute. In the 70thth minute of the game Tales França who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ASEC Mimosas B's Hamílton Coutinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Tales França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in ASEC Mimosas B's zone, Tales França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Coutinho came out of the goal and Tales França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anísio Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Rio Branco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anísio Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 played minutes ASEC Mimosas B got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Ribeiro. Gláuber Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes of play ASEC Mimosas B's Anísio Ribeiro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Anísio Ribeiro hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Gláuber Pirani blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamílton Coutinho having to make a save. In the 96th minute, Tales França ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamílton Coutinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. There was no doubt that Rio Branco FC were the better team. Rio Branco FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
