Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Poxim EC's Lúcio Loureiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A well placed Gerson Mangueira short distance shot in the 3rd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. When Poxim EC's Lenílson Alves in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PORTUGUESA DO MORRO's goalie prevented a goal. In the 12th minute, Mathias Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruninho Arruda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Luisinho Sabóia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Poxim EC's Luisinho Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Mangueira in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Lúcio Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Meira hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Lenílson Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edinho Castro hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Lúcio Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Almeida having to interfere. Rodriguinho Meira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sérgio Almeida. PORTUGUESA DO MORRO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 44 played minutes Gerson Mangueira rounded Poxim EC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruninho Arruda made a kick off. If Gerson Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerson Mangueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisinho Sabóia having to make a save. Bernardo Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Poxim EC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Dantas. Luisinho Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerson Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Poxim EC's Luisinho Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Nóbrega in the 93rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the PORTUGUESA DO MORRO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
