Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pedrão Cabral kicked off to start the match. Pedrão Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute, Pedrão Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute, Luiz Eduardo Tepedino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elias Barral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Eme's Elias Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Eme from getting a goal against them. Inácio da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doriva Pimenta in the 16th minute of the match. With a little luck, Eme's Elias Barral got control of the ball when Wágner Dante tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute Luiz Eduardo Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Doriva Pimenta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eme fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Elias Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Tepedino in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Eme booed when Murgo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedrão Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wágner Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Elias Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luiz Eduardo Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Tepedino in the 38th minute of play. Luiz Eduardo Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Barral having to interfere. Doriva Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Inácio da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Eduardo Tepedino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Eduardo Tepedino in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Barral saved Eme from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Wágner Dante's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Barral was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Wágner Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Luiz Eduardo Tepedino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elias Barral was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 74th minute Teodoro Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Wágner Dante came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Murgo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wágner Dante couldn't finish the play. In the 87thth minute of the game Wágner Dante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eme's Elias Barral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wágner Dante might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Barral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wágner Dante ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute Wágner Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes Eme's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Diego Madureira who took care of the corner kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Murgo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Eme had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
