Jeremias Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Jacinto having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Tupy FC got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Leite. In the 22nd minute, Luís Fernando Toscano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tupy FC's Jorge Lucas didn't even have to move. After 23 played minutes Tupy FC got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Leite. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Quirino in the 28th minute of play forced Vauzinho's goalkeeper Edinho Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute.
