Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vivaldo Lago took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ernani Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Goianases's Ernani Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Goianases from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute Vivaldo Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nico Custódio during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nico Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Vivaldo Lago blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernani Recife having to make a save. Goianases's Ernani Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Goianases from getting a goal against them. In the 20th match minute, Goianases was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Custódio to maneuver through the defense. Vivaldo Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Recife having to interfere. Vivaldo Lago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vivaldo Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Recife having to interfere. After 36 minutes, Rafinha Carioca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goianases and the Caruauba players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Caruauba's Claudinho Paiva got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ernani Recife. 40 minutes into the match, Goianases's goalkeeper Ernani Recife had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Pedro Rosado. José Pedro Rosado might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernani Recife. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Pedro Rosado ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernani Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Lago in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nico Custódio to make the kick off. Alessandro Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ernani Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vivaldo Lago in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernani Recife saved Goianases from getting behind. If Vivaldo Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Goianases defense, Vivaldo Lago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernani Recife. The Goianases fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernani Recife should have stopped the shot. Ernani Recife came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Caruauba's Vivaldo Lago. But to his dismay, Vivaldo Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Alessandro Araújo struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ernani Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caruauba. Goianases's Ernani Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Lago in the 80th minute of play. Vivaldo Lago struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ernani Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caruauba. Ernani Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo de Medeiros in the 95th minute of play. Alessandro Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Ernani Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caruauba's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
