Paulo Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Sandro Silveira could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Dionísio de Azevedo however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Mangueira in the 8th minute of play forced Pinduri AD's goalkeeper Gustavo Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mirandopolis's Cláudio Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandro Silveira came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dionísio de Azevedo could save by the left post. In the 15th minute, Dito Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Terra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Mangueira's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Mathias Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dionísio de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Cláudio Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cláudio Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidney Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gustavo Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Cláudio Sampaio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pinduri AD's Gustavo Terra. Gustavo Terra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mathias Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionísio de Azevedo having to interfere. If Sandro Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Mirandopolis were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Mangueira to make the kick off. Gustavo Terra made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Cláudio Sampaio sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Terra came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mirandopolis's Cláudio Sampaio. But to his dismay, Cláudio Sampaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Cláudio Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Cláudio Sampaio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Terra was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Cláudio Sampaio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 75th minute. Mirandopolis's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 77 minutes into the match, Pinduri AD's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Mangueira came free, but Gustavo Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mirandopolis's Cláudio Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pinduri AD's Gustavo Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Mangueira in the 80th minute of play. Gustavo Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Gustavo Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Mangueira in the 83rd minute of play. Pinduri AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Paulo Mangueira scored to the left of an out of position Gustavo Terra, making the score, 0-5. Pinduri AD's Gustavo Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Pinduri AD from getting a goal against them. Cláudio Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Sampaio in the 97th minute of play forced Pinduri AD's goalkeeper Gustavo Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mirandopolis supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mirandopolis would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
