Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Taquarucu FC's Alberto Sena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Alberto Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilton Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Baiano in the 10th minute of play. Sílvio Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Taquarucu FC's Alberto Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Paulo Rosado in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rui Melo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Felippe Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taquarucu FC's protests and gave Felippe Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Taquarucu FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Felippe Aparecido hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Felippe Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar de Senna's late challenge caught a Querera AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldemar de Senna helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Taquarucu FC! Dedê Bueno shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. José Paulo Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Edu Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Melo was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. If José Paulo Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute Alberto Sena suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Taquarucu FC. Deivid de Lara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wilton Schmidt. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Edu Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Taquarucu FC's Jacinto Baiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilton Schmidt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 52 minutes into the game, Igor Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Querera AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taquarucu FC the free kick. If Armandinho Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Querera AD's Igor Rocha got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Jacinto Baiano struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Wilton Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquarucu FC. Igor Rocha hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Querera AD's goalkeeper Wilton Schmidt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilton Schmidt stood somewhat misplaced when Jacinto Baiano came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 74 minute. In the 78th minute, Jacinto Baiano made a precise shot to the right of Wilton Schmidt. Querera AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 85 minutes into the match, Taquarucu FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Paulo Rosado came free, but Rui Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taquarucu FC were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Querera AD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Deivid de Lara took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Felippe Aparecido advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-4 in the 89th minute. The Taquarucu FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Taquarucu FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
