After 19 minutes of play, Seleção Brasileira's Vito Donatello made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Durvalino Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. São João Do Cabrito's supporters rose to their feet, but Durvalino Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Terra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the match, São João Do Cabrito's Danilo Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Terra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Durvalino Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Terra having to interfere. If Reginaldo Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durvalino Sena struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Benjamin Terra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São João Do Cabrito. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Durvalino Sena made the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game Durvalino Sena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seleção Brasileira's Benjamin Terra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Alvarenga got free with Dorian Veiga in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dorian Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Vito Donatello took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dorian Veiga. Dorian Veiga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 72 minutes into the match, São João Do Cabrito's Danilo Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Terra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Durvalino Sena took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Terra. A collision led to Seleção Brasileira getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Manuel Alvarenga hit a great ball. Danilo Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Benjamin Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. São João Do Cabrito's Basílio Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute Durvalino Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Terra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Seleção Brasileira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. Vito Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Durvalino Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Terra was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Durvalino Sena put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Benjamin Terra.
