Oculto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altair SC the free kick. The supporters of Altair SC booed when Oculto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgard Trevisan in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Luís Brasil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Oculto's zone, Edgard Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luís Brasil came out of the goal and Edgard Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Acácio Secco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of João Adolfo Nóbrega when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Acácio Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. João Adolfo Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Adolfo Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Salles in the 38th minute of play. Celsinho Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís Brasil having to interfere. After some careless play in the Oculto defense, Edgard Trevisan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Luís Brasil. The Oculto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Luís Brasil should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Trevisan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cristian Arruda fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Altair SC's protests and gave Cristian Arruda a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Altair SC got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Arruda. Altair SC's Edgard Trevisan got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Acácio Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Acácio Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Adolfo Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Salles in the 83rd minute of play. Acácio Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Adolfo Nóbrega having to interfere. Válbson Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. João Adolfo Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Adolfo Nóbrega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Acácio Secco went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
