Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fernando Galvão got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the Corguinho EC defense, Almir de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mário Santana. The Corguinho EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mário Santana should have stopped the shot. Dalmo Motta hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute Franklin de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Santana came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaminaua SC's Franklin de Amaral. But to his dismay, Franklin de Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Fernando Galvão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geovani de Lara. Fernando Galvão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. A collision led to Jaminaua SC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alfredinho Fonseca hit a great ball. Fernando Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Almir de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Santana having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Mário Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Corguinho EC's zone, Franklin de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário Santana came out of the goal and Franklin de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Corguinho EC's goalkeeper Mário Santana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Almir de Lara. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Almir de Lara in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Santana saved Corguinho EC from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, Almir de Lara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mário Santana, 1-3. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Almir de Lara took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Mário Santana to make any attempt to save it. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Almir de Lara took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Mário Santana to make any attempt to save it. Almir de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Jaminaua SC's Mário Santana threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Almir de Lara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mário Santana made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Franklin de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Jaminaua SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Corguinho EC throughout the match.
