Sancarbey Sufi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão Hoffmann having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, XMEN FC's Daniel Senon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Blas Ado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Blas Ado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Senon, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Sancarbey Sufi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Betão Hoffmann came out and tried to block the shot, but Sancarbey Sufi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 43rd minute. Santos Dumont F.C.'s Israel Teofilio got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sancarbey Sufi to make the kick off. Blas Ado made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when João Paulo de Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Santos Dumont F.C.'s zone, Daniel Senon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blas Ado came out of the goal and Daniel Senon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded XMEN FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Santos Dumont F.C..
