A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Corina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugênio Valladares came free, but Luiz Gustavo Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Jailson Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Paulo FC the free kick. Ronaldo Meirelles took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso de Toledo. Afonso de Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldo Meirelles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afonso de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Celso Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
