Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Luisinho de Mendonça took the kick off in the first half of the match. Doriva de Barros was a little too slow when Joel Senna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. The supporters of MENGASA DE ARAPIRACA booed when Itira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Zé Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itira's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Novaes succeeded in the game's 28th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. If Zé Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Joel Senna came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Itira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Senna couldn't finish the play. Zé Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joel Senna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doriva de Barros having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Joel Senna put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Doriva de Barros. Christiano Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisinho de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Flavinho Veloso's late challenge caught a MENGASA DE ARAPIRACA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavinho Veloso helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Itira got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Veloso. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Joel Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doriva de Barros. MENGASA DE ARAPIRACA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Doriva de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Senna in the 57th minute of the match. Christiano Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho de Mendonça in the 60th minute of the match. When Oséias Sena fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MENGASA DE ARAPIRACA's protests and gave Oséias Sena a yellow card for diving instead. Vicente Borges, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 71st match minute, Itira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Borges to maneuver through the defense. Zé Novaes struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Doriva de Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itira. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Joel Senna put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Doriva de Barros. Doriva de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Joel Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Joel Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edu da Fonseca took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christiano Sabóia. Christiano Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. If Joel Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Itira had played much better football throughout.
