Cristian Mazza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dito Salgado having to make a save. Alex Silveira in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gugu Lopes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gugu Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. André Luiz Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Lopes having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Alfredinho Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gugu Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Guarantan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tebaida EC the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Luiz Rosado in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gugu Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gugu Lopes came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Guarantan's Alex Silveira. But to his dismay, Alex Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. A collision led to Tebaida EC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Vivaldo Furtado hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Cristian Mazza notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Guarantan's Dito Salgado. Dito Salgado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dito Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Guarantan had played much better football throughout.
