After 5 minutes of play, Faveirinha's Régis de Barros made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manoel Queirós was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sana's Manoel Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Régis de Barros in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Régis de Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Manoel Queirós was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 15 played minutes Sana got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Alagoano. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Marques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manoel Queirós was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Rene Rivero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes, Felipe Alagoano made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Faveirinha's Rene Rivero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Manoel Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Régis de Barros's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Sana's Felipe Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Marcelo Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faveirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manoel Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Faveirinha's Hélio Senna quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Doriva de Almeida, made in the 39th minute of the game. Rene Rivero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Alagoano in the 42nd minute of the match. Eliseu Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Marcelo Marques took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manoel Queirós. Manoel Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Felipe Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Rene Rivero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Marques might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manoel Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Marques ran back to his position shaking his head. Régis de Barros struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Manoel Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Faveirinha. Manoel Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis de Barros in the 57th minute of play. Rene Rivero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Paulo Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Queirós having to interfere. Rene Rivero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Alagoano in the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Faveirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Faria came free, but Rene Rivero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guilherme Mandrak's late challenge caught a Faveirinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guilherme Mandrak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Sana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Marquess short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Manoel Queirós to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 75 minutes, Eliseu Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Faveirinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faveirinha's Rene Rivero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney da Silveira in the 77th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Manoel Queirós successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Marques in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felipe Alagoano took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rene Rivero. Rene Rivero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After some careless play in the Faveirinha defense, Felipe Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rene Rivero. The Faveirinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Rivero should have stopped the shot. Manoel Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Marques in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Marques in the 96th minute of play forced Sana's goalkeeper Manoel Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faveirinha played a much better game than Sana and deserved their victory. The Sana players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
