Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Serginho Hermes started the match with the kick off. Pedro Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitinho de Senna in the 5th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Serginho Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yara's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Hermes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celsinho Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Yara booed when 11 Dourados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the 11 Dourados defense, Silvério Arce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celsinho Santos. The 11 Dourados fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celsinho Santos should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute Vitinho de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Favoretto in the 22nd minute of play forced Yara's goalkeeper Pedro Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serginho Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celsinho Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to 11 Dourados getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Vitinho de Senna hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes 11 Dourados got a freekick which was hit by Vicente de Toledo. After recieving a nice pass, Yara's Fausto de Amorim tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Celsinho Santos had great luck who in the 33rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Serginho Hermes from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When Silvério Arce came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Yara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvério Arce couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvério Arce got free with Celsinho Santos in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Serginho Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yara's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Hermes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celsinho Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vitinho de Senna made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in 11 Dourados's zone, Frederico Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celsinho Santos came out of the goal and Frederico Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guilherme Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Celsinho Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celsinho Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serginho Hermes's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 11 Dourados's Celsinho Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serginho Hermes in the 56th minute of play. Celsinho Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Arce in the 59th minute of play forced 11 Dourados's goalkeeper Celsinho Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serginho Hermes's late challenge caught a 11 Dourados's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serginho Hermes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Serginho Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serginho Hermes in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celsinho Santos saved 11 Dourados from getting behind. If Silvério Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celsinho Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Serginho Hermes might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celsinho Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serginho Hermes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Delfim Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Favoretto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. 11 Dourados's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Celsinho Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Arce in the 83rd minute of play. Serginho Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
