Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Policarpo FC's Aníbal França started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anísio Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Paranaense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anísio Lucas in the 13th minute of play forced Policarpo FC's goalkeeper Raí Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Policarpo FC defense, Raúl de Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raí Paranaense. The Policarpo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raí Paranaense should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute Raphael Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Joinville WPS's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal França came free, but Ediberto Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Policarpo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. After 29 played minutes Policarpo FC got a freekick which was hit by Dieguinho Pombal. Anísio Lucas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raí Paranaense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. If Raúl de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raúl de Barros scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raí Paranaense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joinville WPS's Raúl de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raí Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Amaral in the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 minutes of play, Joinville WPS's Raúl de Barros made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raí Paranaense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Raúl de Barros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Raí Paranaense, 1-4. A hard shot 56 in the game by Anísio Lucas from a close distance when the talented Raí Paranaense managed to make a qualified save. Policarpo FC's players were relieved. Raí Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl de Barros in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Aníbal França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raí Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. A collision led to Policarpo FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Giuseppe da Costa hit a great ball. Anísio Lucas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Raí Paranaense skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Raúl de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Paranaense having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Joinville WPS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Policarpo FC.
