The Esporte Clube Igor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulysses Queiroz should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovânio Quirino to strike the kick off in the second half. Cláudio Tavares charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 71 played minutes Esporte Clube Igor got a freekick which was hit by Wellington de Godoi. Ulysses Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Igor's goalkeeper Ulysses Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandrinho Aguiar. If Luiz Fabiano de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. CR Trovão Azul played a much better game than Esporte Clube Igor and deserved their victory. The Esporte Clube Igor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
