After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Goyanninha! Wilton Netto walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarbas Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mané Paulista's late challenge caught a Ascuria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mané Paulista helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Goyanninha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mané Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Charles da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarbas Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Ascuria FC's Jarbas Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charles da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Brito in the 74th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Goyanninha's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas Ramos came free, but Charles da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarbas Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Zé Carlos Brito sped through Goyanninha's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Charles da Rocha. Zbyszek Kornecki kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Cauan Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goyanninha's supporters rose to their feet, but Cauan Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percy Pitta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
