Jovens vencedores's Zé Augusto Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Jovens vencedores from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the match, Maniassu SS's Romeu Urbano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Augusto Sena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maniassu SS's Aloísio Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agnaldo Sarmento in the 16th minute of play. Belmiro Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Zé Augusto Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Maniassu SS's Belmiro Arruda got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Maniassu SS's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Silveira came free, but Aloísio Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Jovens vencedores booed when Maniassu SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maniassu SS's Aloísio Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Silveira in the 37th minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Mané Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maniassu SS's Aloísio Martins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 40th minute of the match, Carlos Augusto Alves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zé Augusto Sena saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 42 minutes in the game, Carlos Augusto Alves fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zé Augusto Sena having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agnaldo Sarmento was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tales Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Alex Neiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jovens vencedores's Mané Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Carlos Augusto Alves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Augusto Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Carlos Augusto Alves struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Zé Augusto Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maniassu SS. If Agnaldo Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maniassu SS's Aloísio Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Maniassu SS from getting a goal against them. Mané Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 83 played minutes Maniassu SS got a freekick which was hit by Marco Campidelis. Zé Augusto Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Urbano in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Alves in the 92nd minute of play forced Jovens vencedores's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Sena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Augusto Alves went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Zé Augusto Sena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romeu Urbano went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score.
