Reginaldo Quaresma was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Fernando Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Lara in the 32nd minute of play. Umberto Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Pontes in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Umberto Rodrigues saved Jokers FC from getting behind. Jokers FC's Umberto Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Pontes in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st minute, Donato Pontes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arapapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience was convinced that Donato Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Umberto Rodrigues was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gugu Galvão in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Umberto Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Gugu Galvão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Umberto Rodrigues came out and tried to block the shot, but Gugu Galvão slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 54th minute. Umberto Rodrigues acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Reginaldo Quaresma. Fernando Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Fernando Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Zé Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Donato Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gugu Galvão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Umberto Rodrigues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Nando Romero hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Pontes got free with Umberto Rodrigues in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arapapa's Donato Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Arapapa booed when Jokers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gugu Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Umberto Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gugu Galvão might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umberto Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gugu Galvão ran back to his position shaking his head. Arapapa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
