Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vicente Vargas took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the match, Edmundo Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dorival Vides. Convento's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dorival Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Romero in the 6th minute of play. Gildo da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Albuquerque having to interfere. Gildo da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gildo da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Candeial's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Vargas came free, but Giovani Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorival Vides came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Candeial's Edmundo Toledo. But to his dismay, Edmundo Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Toledo in the 26th minute of play forced Convento's goalkeeper Dorival Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Vargas in the 31st minute of play forced Candeial's goalkeeper Giovani Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorival Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Kauan Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candeial's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauan Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kauan Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dorival Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Kauan Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dorival Vides was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Edmundo Toledo made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Gláuber Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Convento's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Candeial the free kick. In the 55th match minute, Convento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Senna to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Gildo da Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovani Albuquerque was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Vicente Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Giovani Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Convento's goalkeeper Dorival Vides, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Candeial's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Vargas came free, but Giovani Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovani Albuquerque came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Convento's Gildo da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Gildo da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Kauan Romero in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dorival Vides, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vicente Vargas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giovani Albuquerque read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Candeial supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Candeial would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
