Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, one of Saboo AD:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Emerson de Toledo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 10th minute, Oliver Schouters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Beto Vergílio notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Minervinho's Osmar Negri. Osmar Negri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 18 minutes into the match, Minervinho's Oliver Schouters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fabiano Araújo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute of the match Minervinho got a corner. Saboo AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emerson de Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Oliver Schouters got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luiz Fabiano Araújo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson de Toledo in the 27th minute of play forced Saboo AD's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Erivaldo Freitas put in a rough tackle. After 29 played minutes Saboo AD got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Freitas. Rafinha Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Saboo AD's Beto Vergílio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osmar Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafinha Meireles made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Minervinho's Rafinha Meireles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Fabiano Araújo. That made the score 3-1 after 54 minutes of play. Luiz Fabiano Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Schouters in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho de Barros in the 69th minute of play forced Minervinho's goalkeeper Osmar Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Nando Freire made a precise shot to the right of Osmar Negri. Minervinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. If Flavinho de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rafinha Meireles took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fabiano Araújo. Luiz Fabiano Araújo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Osmar Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sylwester Laskowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Luiz Fabiano Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osmar Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. With 95 minutes on the clock, Radowit Waselenczuk commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Minervinho! In the 97th minute, Luizinho Félix left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saboo AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Saboo AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Minervinho had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
