Álvaro Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Secco in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jiricos FC defense, Hortêncio Ferreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Teles. The Jiricos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Teles should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Castelandia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Vergílio came free, but Álvaro Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Álvaro Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Jiricos FC's Sidnei Loureiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Álvaro Ferreira. That made the score 2-1 after 28 minutes of play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Sidnei Loureiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castelandia FC's Álvaro Ferreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute of the match, Zé Esteves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Álvaro Ferreira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Castelandia FC's Álvaro Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Loureiro in the 37th minute of play. Wilson Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Álvaro Ferreira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidnei Loureiro went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidnei Loureiro to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Castelandia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Esteves came free, but Álvaro Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Castelandia FC's zone, Sidnei Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Ferreira came out of the goal and Sidnei Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sidnei Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Jiricos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidnei Loureiro couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidnei Loureiro in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Álvaro Ferreira saved Castelandia FC from getting behind. In the 84th minute David Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Castelandia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Esteves came free, but Álvaro Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Figueiredo in the 92nd minute of play. When Jiricos FC's Sidnei Loureiro in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
