Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Umberto Moreno made the kick off and thus started the match. Cacá Jacinto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio POA's zone, Hugo Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico Melo came out of the goal and Hugo Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to opaitaon getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rodrigo Pontes hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the game, Hugo Zonta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. opaitaon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio POA the free kick. In the 25thth minute of the game Yanaki Nazarov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but opaitaon's Cacá Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damian Balkiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cacá Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, opaitaon's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Balkiewicz came free, but Cacá Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grêmio POA's Paulão Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cacá Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yanaki Nazarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When Paulo José Martins came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Grêmio POA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo José Martins couldn't finish the play. Yanaki Nazarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yanaki Nazarov to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Grêmio POA getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Cacá Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, opaitaon's Hugo Zonta got a free kick in the 59th minute. Cacá Jacinto was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fernando Rodrigues. After having played for 65 minutes, Paulo José Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio POA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo José Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Grêmio POA's Paulo José Martins tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Damian Balkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cacá Jacinto made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Yanaki Nazarov sent off a good shot on target. After 76 minutes of play, Grêmio POA's Yanaki Nazarov made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cacá Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Giuseppe Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio POA's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cacá Jacinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yanaki Nazarov went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score.
