Hamílton Leão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Falcão Velasco made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Vitinho Meirelles sent off a good shot on target. After 22 minutes, Afonsinho Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente and the Moravania players grew even worse after the yellow card. Afonsinho Abreu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Moravania's Hamílton Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Berger in the 24th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Independiente's Kjell Grönberg made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamílton Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Independiente's Narciso Berger in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hamílton Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Moravania's Hamílton Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Grönberg in the 36th minute of play. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vânderson Mazza made a kick off. Hamílton Leão was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Diego Bittencourt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diego Bittencourt really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Hamílton Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjell Grönberg in the 58th minute. Kjell Grönberg in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hamílton Leão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hamílton Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Bittencourt scored 0-6 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hamílton Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Narciso Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hamílton Leão came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Kjell Grönberg. But to his dismay, Kjell Grönberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Moravania's Hamílton Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Berger in the 80th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Independiente's Narciso Berger in the 83rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Hamílton Leão was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Moravania through an amazing save. With a little luck, Moravania's Hamílton Leão got control of the ball when Kjell Grönberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vitinho Meirelles hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Kjell Grönberg put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Hamílton Leão. When the match was over Independiente could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Moravania throughout the match.
