Flavinho Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Kiko Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Maniva SS's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Rocha came free, but Franklin Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Benjamin Baiano notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Barcenal F. C.'s Kiko Donatello. Kiko Donatello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kiko Donatello stood somewhat misplaced when Flavinho Couto came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 16 minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Maurício Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maniva SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kiko Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the game, Flavinho Couto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Kiko Donatello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Flavinho Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kiko Donatello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Benjamin Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maniva SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kiko Donatello was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Flavinho Couto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Flavinho Couto really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Mathias Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Donatello having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Flavinho Couto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kiko Donatello was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After 36 minutes Barcenal F. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dênis Mumbach who took care of the corner kick. Carlos Augusto de Andrade tried in the 37th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Kiko Donatello a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 5-0. 41 minutes into the match, Barcenal F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Couto came free, but Kiko Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute Didi Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vitinho Baiano made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Flavinho Couto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kiko Donatello was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Barcenal F. C.'s Kiko Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Couto in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Barcenal F. C.'s zone, Benjamin Baiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kiko Donatello came out of the goal and Benjamin Baiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Barcenal F. C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Douglas Arce hit a great ball. Flavinho Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Donatello having to interfere. Kiko Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavinho Couto in the 68th minute of play. Kiko Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Loureiro in the 69th minute of the match. Franklin Furtado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Didi Rocha in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Valdo de Amaral shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kiko Donatello showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barcenal F. C.'s zone, Flavinho Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kiko Donatello came out of the goal and Flavinho Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 minutes, João França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcenal F. C. and the Maniva SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Flavinho Couto got in the 83rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kiko Donatello handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Maniva SS's Maurício Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nilmar Fonseca made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Vitinho Baiano however managed to control. When Maniva SS's Flavinho Couto in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barcenal F. C.'s goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Maniva SS booed when Barcenal F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball.
