Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tostão Cosme got the match started through his kick off. Jailson Koehler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Velasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Osvaldinho Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute, Washington Campidelis made a precise shot to the right of Hélder Albuquerque. Rondonia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldinho Rocha in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélder Albuquerque prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the game, Jailson Koehler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ian Velasco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd minute, Washington Campidelis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aroazes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Tostão Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Velasco having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Tostão Cosme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ian Velasco. That made the score 2-2 in the 28 minute of play. After 31 played minutes Aroazes got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Leão. In the 33rd minute, João Carlos Paraibano had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. In the 34th match minute, Aroazes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Leão to maneuver through the defense. Edgard Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Dé de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 42 minutes into the match, Washington Campidelis notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Rondonia's Hélder Albuquerque. Hélder Albuquerque was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Washington Campidelis was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Rondonia's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Campidelis came free, but Hélder Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Hélder Albuquerque managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Aroazes's Osvaldinho Rocha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 59 minutes, Adalberto Mazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rondonia and the Aroazes players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rondonia getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Adalberto Mazza hit a great ball. Osvaldinho Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rondonia's Hélder Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Campidelis in the 62nd minute of play. After 62 minutes, Dé de Godoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rondonia and the Aroazes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rondonia's Hélder Albuquerque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Rondonia from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Campidelis in the 68th minute of play forced Rondonia's goalkeeper Hélder Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ian Velasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jailson Koehler went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Aroazes's zone, Jailson Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Velasco came out of the goal and Jailson Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélder Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldinho Rocha in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute of the match Amadeu França sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ian Velasco skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Tostão Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rondonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tostão Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rondonia booed when Aroazes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélder Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldinho Rocha in the 94th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Washington Campidelis in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélder Albuquerque prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
