Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ibate's Túlio Soares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Minhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Túlio Soares in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naldo Motta saved Minhas from getting behind. A collision led to Minhas getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Luís Paulo de Queirós hit a great ball. Naldo Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferson Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Custódio de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tostão Passos during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ibate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! Diamantino Meireles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ademar Coutinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Diamantino Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Simão Cruz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Ademar Coutinho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Túlio Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibate's supporters rose to their feet, but Túlio Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo Motta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Meireles in the 37th minute of play forced Ibate's goalkeeper Ademar Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Custódio de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Diamantino Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Diamantino Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee ignored Minhas's protests and gave Rodolfo da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Minhas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ibate:s goal. Naldo Motta went to the wrong direction when Afonsinho Ramos was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute Luís Paulo de Queirós suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Tostão Passos was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ademar Coutinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simão Cruz went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Simão Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Diamantino Meireles's late challenge caught a Ibate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Coutinho having to interfere. Renato Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to Minhas getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Renato Pimenta hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Meireles in the 86th minute of play forced Ibate's goalkeeper Ademar Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Luís Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renato Pimenta took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ademar Coutinho. Ademar Coutinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Renato Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Minhas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
