Spectators: 7186 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Norberto Reis started the match with the kick off. In the 2ndth minute of the game Percival Mattos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Associação Esporte Lácio's Valdomiro Bueno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Luiz Fernando Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Devourer Of Souls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fernando Vieira couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Percival Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Devourer Of Souls's supporters rose to their feet, but Percival Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdomiro Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Devourer Of Souls getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Acácio Loureiro hit a great ball. Norberto Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes, Luiz Fernando Vieira made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Associação Esporte Lácio's Valdomiro Bueno tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Vieira in the 26th minute of play forced Associação Esporte Lácio's goalkeeper Valdomiro Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdomiro Bueno was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Percival Mattos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Percival Mattos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 32nd minute, Luiz Fernando Vieira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valdomiro Bueno. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 36th minute Norberto Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Modestio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdomiro Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. A collision led to Associação Esporte Lácio getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jaime Travassos hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Percival Mattos made a kick off. Percival Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Acácio Loureiro's late challenge caught a Associação Esporte Lácio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Acácio Loureiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Acácio Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ediberto Tande hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Associação Esporte Lácio's zone, Hugo Bure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdomiro Bueno came out of the goal and Hugo Bure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 minutes of play, Associação Esporte Lácio's César Lopez made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lisandro Modestio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdomiro Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival Mattos in the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, Devourer Of Souls's Lisandro Modestio got control of the ball when César Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fernando Vieira in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdomiro Bueno saved Associação Esporte Lácio from getting behind. After 78th play minutes Luiz Fernando Vieira shot 6-1, a short shot which went by Valdomiro Bueno and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Devourer Of Souls's goalkeeper Lisandro Modestio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luiz Fernando Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Bueno having to interfere. Valdomiro Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Luiz Fernando Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Valdomiro Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Percival Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Bueno having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Percival Mattos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdomiro Bueno was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, Percival Mattos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdomiro Bueno. Associação Esporte Lácio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Percival Mattos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. Devourer Of Souls walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
