In the 14th minute Patrick Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Gajewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilmar Tavares took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafa de Mendonça. Rafa de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Nilmar Tavares might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafa de Mendonça. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilmar Tavares ran back to his position shaking his head. If Oséias Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilmar Tavares couldn't finish the play. Oséias Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rafa de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilmar Tavares succeeded in the game's 48th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Veiga to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Artur Massa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tadeusz Gajewski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 57 played minutes Espinharas got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Linhares. In the 70th match minute, Limirio SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Limirio SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nilmar Tavares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Oséias Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafa de Mendonça came out of the goal and Nilmar Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Espinharas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
