In the 21st minute, Dadá Lopes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Garry Eggenschwiler. The goal made the score 1-2. A collision led to Fúria getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Adelino Braga hit a great ball. Igor Neves came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Pichuri AD's Olavo de Sena. But to his dismay, Olavo de Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Olavo de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Neves having to interfere. Olavo de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Igor Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Carlos Teixeira made a precise shot to the right of Igor Neves. Fúria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pichuri AD made a substitution. Robinho de Sena replaced Durval Figueiredo. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olavo de Sena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olavo de Sena's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Igor Neves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Serginho Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Neves was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After 77 minutes of play, Pichuri AD's Olavo de Sena made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Pichuri AD's Serginho Bittencourt got a free kick in the 79th minute. Igor Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo de Sena in the 85th minute of play. Dadá Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Garry Eggenschwiler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Fúria's Igor Neves got control of the ball when Serginho Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Pichuri AD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fúria throughout the match.
