With an all-out effort, Vila Mariana F.C.'s Durval Medeiros threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dráusio de Senna, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fernão Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Durval Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durval Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Cléberson Paranaense received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Durval Medeiros came out and tried to block the shot, but Cléberson Paranaense slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Christian da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian da Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Durval Medeiros made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Cléberson Paranaense sent off a good shot on target. Richard Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Almeida in the 26th minute of play. Dráusio de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 minutes of play, Vila Mariana F.C.'s Cléberson Paranaense made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durval Medeiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Durval Medeiros came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Mariana F.C.'s Dráusio de Senna. But to his dismay, Dráusio de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Richard Botelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Richard Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Miranda in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute, Dráusio de Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Durval Medeiros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dráusio de Senna went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 56th minute, Anísio Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Durval Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dráusio de Senna's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute, Cléberson Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Durval Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. When Vila Mariana F.C.'s Dráusio de Senna in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itahy's goalie prevented a goal. Durval Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dráusio de Senna's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Dráusio de Senna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Medeiros was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Pinho during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Itahy's Júlio Pinho got a free kick in the 75th minute. Leandro das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Vila Mariana F.C.'s Dráusio de Senna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Durval Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute of the match Vila Mariana F.C. got a corner. Itahy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernão Abraão ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Vila Mariana F.C.'s corner Fernão Abraão fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Durval Medeiros quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio de Senna in the 80th minute of play forced Itahy's goalkeeper Durval Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Vila Mariana F.C.'s Fernão Abraão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durval Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Thanks to some nice moves Celso Miranda could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Richard Botelho however easily saved by the left post. When Dráusio de Senna got free in front of the goal in the 86th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Durval Medeiros was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cléberson Paranaense scored 7-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Durval Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dráusio de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th match minute, Itahy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro das Neves to maneuver through the defense. Vila Mariana F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
