Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paulão Bittencourt started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Luizinho Mesquita made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Hugo Custódio sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute of the match Celso da Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizinho Mesquita skillfully saved the ball. Ezequiel Cruz hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ramiro Dias was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Paulão Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Doriva Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doriva Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Pernambucano in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Havana Club getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Hamílton Miranda hit a great ball. Doriva Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dráusio Pernambucano went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 30 minutes, Ramiro Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Havana Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Dráusio Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Havana Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráusio Pernambucano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doriva Sousa came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Havana Club's Paulão Bittencourt. But to his dismay, Paulão Bittencourt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a little luck, Havana Club's Luizinho Mesquita got control of the ball when Zé Paulo Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Patu AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Havana Club were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Angelo Paiva made the kick off in the second half. Havana Club's Luizinho Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Godoi in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Hugo Custódio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Luizinho Mesquita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hugo Custódio scored 2-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luizinho Mesquita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmo Gaúcho during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dalmo Gaúcho hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Celso da Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizinho Mesquita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 64 minutes of play, Patu AD's Manoel Velloso made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luizinho Mesquita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luizinho Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Dráusio Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Havana Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráusio Pernambucano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dráusio Pernambucano struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Doriva Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Havana Club. The supporters of Havana Club booed when Patu AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Paulão Bittencourt fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Havana Club! In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Havana Club's goalkeeper Luizinho Mesquita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
