The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Serginho Trevisan struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Antonio Nicolo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians. Dalmo Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Antonio Nicolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Nödt Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cido Prestes got free with Antonio Nicolo in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Dalmo Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Dalmo Mineiro rounded Nödt Football Club's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The throw-in from Roger Rocha in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Nödt Football Club's Víktor Fantini. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Saraiva in the 32nd minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Silvério Custódio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Corinthians's Antonio Nicolo threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dalmo Mineiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Daniel Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dalmo Mineiro made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fabiano Saraiva during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Nödt Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Mineiro in the 55th minute of play forced Nödt Football Club's goalkeeper Antonio Nicolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Nödt Football Club's Alfredão Almeida got a free kick in the 59th minute. Dalmo Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filipe Pimenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvério Custódio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Pimenta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 79th match minute, Nödt Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Caco Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmo Mineiro in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Nicolo saved Nödt Football Club from getting behind. Antonio Nicolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido Prestes in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nödt Football Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Corinthians.
