The supporters of Umbuzeiro booed when Lalima EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 minutes, Victor Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lalima EC and the Umbuzeiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Marcinho Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lalima EC's Wilian Tande managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Armando Proença in the 26 minute of the game. Leonel de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fiori Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgílio Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Remo de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastião de Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastião de Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sebastião de Amaral hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When Sebastião de Amaral was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Nando Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Virgílio Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remo de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Hoffmann in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Umbuzeiro getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Armando Proença hit a great ball. Nando Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori Damião having to interfere. After 77 minutes of play Lalima EC's Edmundo Barreto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Victor Amaral hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Virgílio Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Virgílio Hoffmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remo de Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Virgílio Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Remo de Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Umbuzeiro. Virgílio Hoffmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remo de Lara having to make a save. Umbuzeiro's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
