In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chapecoense F.C's goalkeeper Cauan do Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marvados PVH FC's Kiko Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Mineiro in the 33rd minute of play. Cauan do Nascimento didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. Kasey Stevenss short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Cauan do Nascimento to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Chapecoense F.C's zone, Marcos Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauan do Nascimento came out of the goal and Marcos Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kasey Stevens in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauan do Nascimento saved Chapecoense F.C from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fellipe Meirelles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Erivaldo Eger sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cauan do Nascimento skillfully saved the ball.
