Galhao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jofre SC the free kick. In the 6th minute, Custódio Melo made a precise shot to the right of Arlindo Fernandes. Galhao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Custódio Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Fernandes having to interfere. The audience was convinced that José de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arlindo Fernandes was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José de Andrade in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arlindo Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Arlindo Fernandes managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Jofre SC's José de Andrade fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Galhao's zone, Custódio Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlindo Fernandes came out of the goal and Custódio Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Edmílson de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, one of Galhao:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Jofre SC a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ian Andrade, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Galhao's Arlindo Fernandes. 2-0. José de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Fernandes having to interfere. Fernandão Hermes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Ian Andrade shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arlindo Fernandes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wellington Paraíba's late challenge caught a Galhao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wellington Paraíba helped the player get up and apologised. Wellington Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Jofre SC's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos de Sousa came free, but Genílson Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Galhao's zone, Custódio Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlindo Fernandes came out of the goal and Custódio Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Luizão de Senna could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Arlindo Fernandes however easily saved by the left post. José de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Arlindo Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genílson Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos de Sousa in the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

José Carlos de Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genílson Carioca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Carlos de Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Custódio Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arlindo Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. José de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arlindo Fernandes came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Jofre SC's Custódio Melo. But to his dismay, Custódio Melo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 76 played minutes Galhao got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson de Medeiros. A collision led to Galhao getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Lauro Queirós hit a great ball. Galhao's Arlindo Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Custódio Melo in the 78th minute of play. José de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Fernandes having to interfere. Arlindo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Custódio Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 87 minutes, José de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jofre SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José de Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If José de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arlindo Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão de Senna in the 94th minute of play. Arlindo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jofre SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Galhao for a fine match.
