Jonathan Neto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romário Negri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Orlando Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agenor Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Riachuello's Orlando Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Soeiro in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Riachuello getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Agostinho Correia hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Soeiro in the 44th minute of play forced Riachuello's goalkeeper Orlando Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Agenor Brodel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Riachuello's Orlando Berger. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luiz Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute.
