Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After 10 played minutes J.A Armentieres got a freekick which was hit by Lino Garcia. Giovani Berger hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Válter Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Ribeiro in the 21st minute of play. The J.A Armentieres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válter Catarinense should have stopped the shot. Giovani Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Júnior Mello notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of J.A Armentieres's Válter Catarinense. Válter Catarinense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júnior Mello was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, J.A Armentieres's Válter Catarinense got control of the ball when Dadá Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, J.A Armentieres's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Mello came free, but Válter Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válter Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Chiquinho Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Fernando da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inveia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave J.A Armentieres the free kick. Válter Catarinense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Válter Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inveia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
