Gildo Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Vander in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Fluzão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Terra to maneuver through the defense. Betinho Lima in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Júlio Silveira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 1-0 became the score in the 30th minute when Betinho Lima elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fluzão's Júlio Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betinho Lima in the 40th minute of play. Júlio Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betinho Lima in the 42nd minute of the match. Júlio Silveira made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Charles Quadros sent off a good shot on target. Charles Quadros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Júlio Silveira made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Betinho Lima was the one to do the kick off. Bruninho de Moraes charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruninho de Moraes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SE Palestrinidade booed when Fluzão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Quadros in the 53rd minute of play forced Fluzão's goalkeeper Júlio Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Mendes hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Betinho Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Samuel Vander dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gildo Motta, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Fluzão's zone, Charles Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Silveira came out of the goal and Charles Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charles Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betinho Lima in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Silveira saved Fluzão from getting behind. In the 82ndth minute of the game Betinho Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fluzão's Júlio Silveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Charles Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Júlio Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Matorin's late challenge caught a Fluzão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Matorin helped the player get up and apologised. André Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Betinho Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
