Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Betinho Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. Charles Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Marinho having to interfere. After 18 played minutes SE Palestrinidade got a freekick which was hit by Alex Alagoano. Eliézer Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gildo Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, SE Palestrinidade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Charles Quadros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Juninho Marinho made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dida Lopes during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Marley booed when SE Palestrinidade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Betinho Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. SE Palestrinidade's supporters rose to their feet, but Betinho Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juninho Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juninho Marinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charles Quadros in the 38th minute. Charles Quadros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, SE Palestrinidade's Betinho Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juninho Marinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Charles Quadros struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Juninho Marinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SE Palestrinidade. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Gildo Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Silveira in the 52nd minute of the match. Eliézer Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildo Motta having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Marley's Oswaldo Brasil got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Betinho Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Quadros spun around in front of the goal 66 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FC Marley's goal. Betinho Lima struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Juninho Marinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SE Palestrinidade. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Betinho Lima in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Marinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 76 minutes into the match, SE Palestrinidade's Charles Quadros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juninho Marinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute Betinho Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Betinho Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Marley getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Filipe Garcia hit a great ball. SE Palestrinidade walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
