Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo Renato Souza started the match with the kick off. Zé Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabrício Maciel having to make a save. In the 3rd minute of the match, Luís Fernando Lira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabrício Maciel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luís Fernando Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Maciel having to interfere. Luís Fernando Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Fabrício Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavinho Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Fernando Lira in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabrício Maciel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Flavinho Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Décio Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavinho Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Gonçalves having to interfere. Flavinho Rosado struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Décio Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Ham. Paulo Renato Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavinho Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Décio Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Souza in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Benjamim Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Paulo Renato Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Machado made a kick off. Paulo Renato Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Renato Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Gonçalves having to interfere. Luís Fernando Lira might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabrício Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Fernando Lira ran back to his position shaking his head. Murihe SC's Décio Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Souza in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Murihe SC booed when West Ham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Flavinho Rosado could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Décio Gonçalves however easily saved by the left post. Décio Gonçalves made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Flavinho Rosado sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to West Ham getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Paulo Renato Souza hit a great ball. When Paulo Renato Souza came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the West Ham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Renato Souza couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Murihe SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while West Ham had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
