Adhemar Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodolfo Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Esporte Clube Vitória was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Mumbach to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percival Toscano during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Percival Toscano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adhemar Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adhemar Correia in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Baiano saved Quingo AD from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Rogério de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esporte Clube Vitória's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodolfo Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Esporte Clube Vitória's Ricardo Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Neiva in the 52nd minute of play. Adhemar Correia struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Rodolfo Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esporte Clube Vitória. Diego Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 played minutes Esporte Clube Vitória got a freekick which was hit by Doni Mumbach. Rafael Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Adhemar Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Quingo AD's Noel Neiva got a free kick in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Castro during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 85 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Vitória's Adhemar Correia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Baiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rogério de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Baiano having to interfere. With a little luck, Quingo AD's Rodolfo Baiano got control of the ball when Adhemar Correia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Quingo AD defense, Adhemar Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Baiano. The Quingo AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Baiano should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Quingo AD getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Noel Neiva hit a great ball.
