Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Juvenal Meira made the kick off and thus started the match. After 6 minutes of play, Frois SC's Juvenal Meira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Pereira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgar Silveira scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donato Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frois SC's Donato Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Salles in the 17th minute of play. From close distance Juvenal Meira pressed in the 2-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 18 minutes into the game. Juvenal Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vivaldo Salles came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Santos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vivaldo Salles couldn't finish the play. Juvenal Meira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Claudinei Pereira firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 35th minute, Vivaldo Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 40 minutes into the match, Ulisses Passos notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Frois SC's Donato Costa. Donato Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the match, Santos FC's Ulisses Passos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicolas Vianna hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Claudinei Pereira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juvenal Meira in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goalkeeper Claudinei Pereira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juvenal Meira. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of Santos FC booed when Frois SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gernando Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Vivaldo Salles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 59 played minutes Frois SC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Gustavo Cardoso. In the 69th minute, Luís Gustavo Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delfim Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 72nd minute, Osvaldinho Mesquita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donato Costa. The goal made the score 3-4. In the 79th minute of the match, Osvaldinho Mesquita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Donato Costa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Santos FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
